ReportConsumer is built on three decades of combined expertise in law, corporate governance, vigilance, and consumer advocacy.
Balachandran Manickavasagam
M. S. BalachandranAn accomplished professional with over three decades of experience spanning corporate governance, legal practice, and central government vigilance. As a CEO and Founding Partner, he leads an India-based technology enterprise delivering integrated IT and business solutions, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth.
Before entering the private sector, he held key leadership roles at the National Textile Corporation — a Government of India undertaking — serving as Vigilance Officer and later as General Manager. In these capacities, he led high-impact vigilance audits and compliance programs, driving transparency, ethics, and risk mitigation across departments.
As a registered lawyer with the Bar Council of India, he brings a legal dimension to his corporate role, advising on statutory matters, compliance frameworks, and contract governance. His multidisciplinary background empowers him to navigate both public sector complexity and private enterprise agility with equal precision.
Spearheading the strategic direction, operational execution, and legal governance. Implementing regulatory and risk control mechanisms aligned with industry standards.
Providing legal counsel in corporate law, contracts, and administrative regulations. Specialising in cases related to government undertakings and public interest matters.
Led internal vigilance audits and compliance programs across multiple units. Collaborated with central vigilance authorities to enforce ethical practices and prevent financial mismanagement.
Arvind Balachandran
Arvind Balachandran is a passionate consumer rights advocate and RTI (Right to Information) activist who believes transparency and accountability are essential foundations of fair markets. With years of experience fighting for consumer rights and using the RTI Act as a tool for public accountability, he co-founded ReportConsumer to build a platform where no consumer's voice goes unheard.
His vision is clear: empower ordinary citizens with actionable information, expose unfair practices, spotlight honest businesses, and create a marketplace ecosystem where companies are genuinely accountable to the people they serve.
